Description
Sgurr nan Gillean is one of the most recognisable peaks in Glen Sligachan, on the Isle of Skye, and is part of the Black Cuillin, so named because of the dark coloured basalt and gabbro rocks from which the mountains are composed. It’s serrated top reaches to 964 metres and looks particularly formidable as it emerges from summer storm clouds.
