Description
The Quiraing is a massive landslide around 2km wide that looms above Staffin village at the northern end of the Trotternish Peninsula on the lsle of Skye. Ancient deposits of basalt rock now litter the hillside beneath the sheer cliffs and between them there is a flat area known as The Table. It is said that this notoriously difficult to find location was once used to hide cattle from Viking invaders.
