Description
The cliffs fringing West Bay in Dorset are part of England’s internationally important Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This status has been awarded because of the areas outstanding geology and geomorphology. East Cliff’s distinctive profile is due to erosion of the sedimentary rocks creating a unusual zig-zag pattern extruding from the cliff face.
