Foolow, strip fields

SKU: N/A Categories: ,

The landscape around Foolow in Derbyshire is notable for its strip fields marked by both hawthorn (Crategeus monogyna) hedgerows and the bright limestone walls typical of the White Peak area.  The long fields are a relic of Medieval farming practices.
