Description
Sweet woodruff (Galium odoratum) is a native woodland species that is associated with ancient woodlands in lowland Britain. It spreads vigorously by rhizomes, making it an excellent groundcover. Although if left unchecked it will rapidly colonise large areas. It is, however, and excellent wildlife-supporting plant and an welcome addition to naturalistic planting schemes.
