Quartz in killas, Millook Haven

SKU: N/A Categories: ,

Killas is a mining term name given to the metamorphosed sedimentary rocks found on the northern Cornish coastline, including sites such as Millook Haven.  These rocks have undergone massive stress that has created a network of fractures. These have then filled with quartz dissolved in solution, which then formed crystals as the fluid evaporated.
