Description

A temperature inversion traps mist below the summit of Shutlingsloe, the second highest point in Cheshire.  Somewhat fancifully referred to as ‘The Matterhorn of the Peak’, it nonetheless forms a instantly recognisable focal point on the county’s eastern uplands.  This view is taken from Morridge Moor in Staffordshire.
