Description
Avebury stone circle surrounds the village of Avebury in Wiltshire and is the largest stone circle in Britain. Originally constructed in the Neolithic period, other elements were added in the Bronze Age. It is part of a massive sacred landscape that includes Stonehenge and together they are included within a World Heritage Site.
