Description

Silver birch (Betula pendula), along with downy birch (B. pubescens), are the most commonly occuring tree species on Ramsley Moor, at Sheffield’s southwestern fringe. This particular birch is well-placed to form a silhouette against a vivid sky created by the rising sun’s rays reflecting off altostratus clouds.
