Description
Montane knapweed aka mountain cornflower (Centaurea montana) is among the best bee-attracting plants for the wildlife garden. In common with other knapweeds it produces an abundance of nectar and will keep flowering for months on end providing the spent flowers are removed. ‘Deadheading’ will also help to prevent it self-seeding all over the garden, a tendency for which it is well known.
