Description
Winter aconite (Eranthis hyemalis) is a short-statured plant with large yellow flowers, which resemble a six-petalled buttercup. The foliage is, however, quite different. It blooms from February onwards and when fully open the flowers are saucer-like. This introduced species is now becoming increasingly common in the wild.
