Description

Ramsley Moor is an area of heath and upland woodland, in the northeastern corner of Derbyshire, close to the border with South Yorkshire and Sheffield’s outskirts.  Silver birches (Betula pendula) are the most prominent tree in this area, growing among common heather (Calluna vulgaris).  The moorland is home to roaming sheep.
