Description
Measuring the trunk girth reveals only so much about this oak’s (Quercus spp.) age. The historical environment in which it grew also has to be taken in account. At 3.5 metres circumference, and surrounded by mature woodland for the last hundred years or more, this oak is circa 300 years old.
