Description
The drumstick allium (Allium sphaerocephalon) produces an egg-shaped purple-red flower on top of a tall and delicate stem. This plant is still weeks away from coming into flower. It is thought to be native at only two locations in Britain but is widely grown in gardens, where it is much-loved by bees.
