Description
White Tor (487m) is about a third of the way along Derwent Edge in northern Derbyshire and it stands proud above heather covered Derwent Moor. Kinder Scout’s sharp northern escarpment forms the far horizon, below which extends Black Ashop Moor. Pink-hued light from the setting sun catches the remaining snow drifted on the moor’s western slopes.
