Description

The unusually still waters of Glaslyn reflect the first light on Snowdon’s summit, which is the highest point in Gwynedd and the tallest mountain in the British Isles outside of Scotland.  The lake is a drowned corrie, or cwm in Welsh, a bowl-shaped valley carved into the side of the mountain by the slow rotation of a glacier abrading the rocks during the most recent Ice Age.
