Description
The Rhinogydd, or Rhinogs, are a range of mountains near Harlech, Gwynedd. They are formed from hard Cambrian sandstone that resists erosion. Rhinog Fawr, to the left, shows signs of the compression and folding that raised these rocks into mountains. A small lake, Llyn Cwmhosan lies at the foot of the boulder-scree covered slopes of Rhinog Fach.
