Description

A close view of the upper reaches of Glyder Fach (994m) with a covering of snow defining the mountain’s craggy rocks, which are part of the “bristly ridge”.   Glyder Fach and the surrounding mountains are composed out of rhyolitic tuff, the subsequent erosion of which has created the fiercely jagged profile. This range is referred to as the Glyderau group, aka the Glyders, and it dominates the skyline to the west of Capel Curig village.
