Loch Maree, in Wester Ross, is the fourth largest body of fresh water in Scotland and features over thirty islands from the small to the sizeable, most inhabited by Scot’s Pine (Pinus sylvertris)  On the horizon, shapely Slioch (981m) is nearly engulfed by a wall of cloud as a storm passes overhead.
