Description
The view from Cleadale Beach on Eigg’s west coast is dominated by the Rum Cuillin, which are the massively eroded bases of ancient volcanoes. The mountains are a singularly impressive sight as storm clouds gather over their lofty summits. The beach itself is formed from pale quartz and dark basalt grains, causing the characteristic silver-grey appearance.
