Description

Roseberry Topping (320m) is an isolated hilltop on the edge of the North Yorks Moors National Park.  The hill’s characteristic shape results from a geological fault in the sandstone further weakened by a mining collapse.   In early autumn straw stubble is all that remains in the fields below the summit.
