Description
The Devil’s Chair is part of a sequence of tors along the ridge of eroded quartzite that forms the Stiperstones in Shropshire. The fragmented rocks emerge through moorland vegetation that includes common heather (Calluna vulgaris) and bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus). The Stiperstones is a National Nature Reserve and part of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
