Detail from the shoreline rocks at Mupe Bay in Dorset. The smooth limestone slabs are rich in fossils and here and there lie holey tufa pebbles and assorted gravel fragments. Mupe Bay is part of England’s internationally important Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
