Description

Steeply dipping igneous dolerite rocks at Pen Anglas on the Pembrokeshire coast.  The unusual interlocking pattern is a cross-section of hexagonally jointed columns that formed as the intruded magma cooled slowly and evenly.   Partial columns can be seen just beyond this exposed face.
