Description
At the foot of Snowdon, in Gywnedd, a brief break between snow showers causes pale sunlight to flood across the rocky terrain, while beyond the Pass of Llanberis remains in shadow under brooding clouds. Glacial erosion during the most recent Ice Age carved the deep-sided u-shaped valley straight through the mountainous terrain and the Afon Nant Peris now flows through it on its way to the sea.
