Description

Wastwater in Wasdale, Cumbria, is the deepest lake in England due to the glacial erosion that cut deep into the volcanic rock.  Winding Lingmell Beck flows at Lingmell’s foot, past enclosed fields before empyting into the lake.  Wastwater is framed by the ‘The Screes’, to the left, and Yewbarrow, to the right.
